Michaela C. Moore is a professional actor based out of New York City. Originally from Biloxi, MS, she received degrees in vocal performance and public relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. She trained under the direction of Dr. Maryann Kyle and currently receives coaching from Deric Rosenblatt, also coach to names such as Morgan James, Ginna Claire Mason and Al Roker. Michaela has performed across the United States and internationally in Germany, Norway and Jamaica. After college she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in their Advanced Encore program, focusing on acting for film, devised theatre and scene study. Accolades include placing first in the upper level musical theatre category of the Mississippi chapter of NATS, placing in the Top 10 of the Classical Singers’ magazine musical theatre competition and placing in the Top 10 of the Miss Mississippi Scholarship Pageant (Preliminary Talent Winner and Quality of Life Finalist for the platform Shining a Light on Life: Suicide Prevention and Awareness).
Regional/New York highlights include: Ellie Blake in the Midwest premier of “Freaky Friday” (Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse); Sherrie Christian in “Rock of Ages” (Hub City Players); Sister Mary Downy in “Disaster!” (Four Corners Musical Theatre); The Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (Great Plains Theatre); Percy Talbott in “The Spitfire Grill” (Carey Dinner Theatre); Inga in “Young Frankenstein” and Heidi in “[title of show]” (Priscilla Beach Theatre). She will be returning to Priscilla Beach Theatre this fall to take on the role of Rona Peretti in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”.
Michaela is a skilled pedagogue and specializes in the transition of classical technique as it applies to the modern belt. With 15 years of dance experience under her belt, Michaela is an advocate of training actors in health/wellness in order to maintain stamina for an energized, emotional performance. In January 2021 she will be a licensed nutritionist. Furthermore, with over five years of marketing/PR experience, Michaela specializes in general brand/business management for the actor, teaching beginner and advanced performers how to properly market themselves online and in person.
